1. Tonkotsu Ramen

Tonkotsu ramen is a gastronomic treat, with its creamy broth bursting with umami taste, springy noodles, and garnishes.

While Tonkotsu may appear to be a complicated meal with many components, this straightforward broth recipe will help you create your homemade ramen version.

In a large pot, bring the pig bones to a boil over high heat. After the bones have been cooked, drain them and clean away any black colouration to achieve the light milky colour. Set aside.

Sauté yellow onion, green onion, and ginger in a pan until aromatic. Add the aromatic mixture and bones to the soup pot.

After 20 minutes of boiling and skimming, cover the pot for 6 hours. Allow the broth to cool overnight after straining through a mesh strainer. This will be the base for your ramen.

2. Miso Ramen

Being one of the most common types of ramen, this recipe for Miso Ramen is perfectly prepared with meat broth and topped with pork belly. You can prepare delectable ramen broth in half an hour.

Pour sesame oil into a saucepan on a medium-low fire. Bring in the minced garlic, ginger, and shallot and cook, often stirring, until aromatic.

Raise to medium heat and stir in the meat. Sauté until the meat loses its pink colour.

Mix in the miso and bean paste. Combine well with the meat as soon as possible to prevent them from burning. Stir in the crushed sesame seeds and sugar.

Pour in the sake and chicken stock, then bring the broth to a boil. Taste the broth and season with salt as desired.

Plate your cooked noodles with this delectable miso broth. Garnish with pork belly on top. Serve with a sprinkling of scallions and sesame seeds.

3. Shrimp Ramen

Cook the bacon in a medium pan over medium-high flame until browned. Remove the bacon and its fat from the pan and sauté some garlic until golden brown and aromatic.

Throw in the mushrooms and cook for an additional six minutes, or until thoroughly browned. Add the chicken stock and bring it to a boil.

Season the broth with soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

Add in the ramen noodles and cook for about two minutes. Turn off the heat and add the blanched shrimp. Allow it to stand for a couple of minutes.

Serve garnished with chives and browned bacon.
