Silicone Ice Cube Tray - Review

One of the first kitchen products that caught my eye over at Oliver's Kitchen, was these silicone ice cube trays.

These LARGE ice cubes are just brilliant. They keep drinks cooler for longer because they take ages to melt.

The large square ice cubes are just perfect and are larger than you think. The picture below shows just one, in a regular sized tumbler.

Silicone Ice Cube Tray - Review

Giant size ice cubes for that Gin and Tonic, round or square, it's up to you but I really like the round ones.

The ice cube moulds are sturdy and really easy to use and the flexible and non-stick silicone material allows you to push the ice out really easily.

Made from food-grade BPA silicon material and are reusable time and time again. Unlike the traditional hard plastic ice cube trays, they won't crack or break.

The only problem I had is that there's a line around the edge of each of the round ice cubes. It's where the water seeps, very slightly, between the two trays.

So they aren't completely perfect as shown in the illustration, but still, you have nice round ice cubes and I still love them!

I found it almost impossible to take a decent picture, but this is a regular-sized tall glass so you can see they are nice and big.

It's not shown in the instructions below, but you do get a tiny little funnel that comes with the trays. The funnel enables you to easily fill each of the round ones to the top through the little holes.

Kitchen Tongs with Silicone Tips

Every cook needs a good pair of kitchen tongs. For most things, I'm finding the smaller ones really handy.

I recently bought a fancy-pants health grill and air fryer and the instructions recommend using silicone tip kitchen tongs, so these are just perfect.
