Easy Crème Brûlée Recipe

This is a really easy crème brûlée recipe because it's made in the Tefal Cook4Me!

Over the weekend I thought I'd try one of the desserts in the Cook4Me recipe booklet.

Creme Brulee

Since I'd recently been given a cook's Torch for Creme Brulee to review I wanted an excuse to play with it!

Of course, you can use a cooks blow torch for finishing loads of other recipes and brilliant for adding a little colour to a meringue.

Crème brûlée in the Cook4Me

It was a doddle to make and turned it out perfectly. However, I must point out the recipe instructions are a little odd as they say to serve 2 people you will need 3 ramekins - then again Paul (the husband) would agree with that meaning there's one more for him!

On another note, the measurement for caster sugar just says 2 but 2 what is the question. Now it's no big deal although I understand fully if you hadn't got a clue how to make Crème brûlée this would leave you wondering.

Well, the answer is 25g or 2 tablespoons, I've decided anyway, and it worked out just fine.

One more thing is the vanilla extract isn't mentioned as to when you add it but again, it was easy to realise it gets added in when you add the cream.

Anyway, with that said I still don't have a bad word to say about the Tefal Cook4Me, I've tried a good few recipes now and up till this one I'd never found a fault.

I think you'll agree the Crème brûlée looks pretty good.

It emerged from the machine with a perfect wobble and for those that follow me on Instagram you will have witnessed that by way of my Instavideo!

  1. Your creme brulee looks great Jan. I've only attempted them once and they were a bit of disaster due to my rubbish grill.

  2. I've never made a creme brulee before. It sounds so easy in your whizzy machine (troublesome recipe details aside!)

  3. Ooh I've never made a Creme Brulee before but this looks perfect - a shame the recipe wasn't written properly but sounds like a good machine:-)

  4. Sounds like a fun gadget. And the recipe book sounds like a brain workout, what with the missing information - a la great british bakeoff! Good looking brulee.

  5. Love love love Creme Brulee... always order it when I'm out but never bother to make it myself. Your new gadget sounds fun... although i have to say most recipe booklets that come with these things do tend to be useless! I've got one that has recipes that say to add 'Spice' but doesn't specify what kind of spice - ridiculous!
