If you don't have room for a kitchen processor then the stick blender (or immersion blender) is the way to go. Having been recently sent this very nice looking Stainless Steel Stick Blender by Stellar Cookware I couldn't wait to use it.
Photos by Stellar Cookware:
Please excuse my use of stock photos above provided by Stellar since the photos I took didn't really do this product justice.
Easy to Use:
Now it's all very well something looking good but of course it needs to be able to do the job too. The 750W motor made short work of the strawberries and ice cream although just a really low setting was needed or I'd have had strawberries and ice cream up the wall and everywhere.
Of course the speed is variable - just turn the dial at the top to select the perfect speed for the job. When the blender is switched on the rim around the top (see bottom left picture) lights up blue - love it!
This really is a quite a powerful blender which also has Turbo Boost too - now that's something for serious blending!
Easy to put together since the blender is in two parts and easily twists on to lock the bottom part to the motor unit (the top part). This blender is comfortable to hold too.
Easy to Clean:
Once you've finished using it the bottom part can be washed in nice sudsy water before rinsing and drying or you can put it in the dishwasher. The motor unit of course can not be immersed in water so just wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry.
All in All:
A seriously great stick blender which is easy to use and will make short work of blending soups etc. Now whilst this is the bees knees in stick blenders, if Stellar made a whisk attachment I be first in the queue to buy it - just a thought and not a certainly not a complaint.
A lovely gift and perfect for anyone like myself that has limited space in the kitchen.
Strawberry and ice cream milkshake - my pictures are awful they were taken on my iPad and I totally forgot to take proper ones!
To make Strawberry Ice Cream Milkshake:
Nothing tricky just put strawberries into a bowl or jug along with a few scoops of ice cream and blend with a stick blender.
Add a couple of tablespoons of Crusha Milkshake Mix then add milk (say 600m) depends how much or little milkshake you want to make.
The Stellar Stick Blender model SEA33 can be purchased in good cook shops or of course online.
Many thanks to Pam and Stellar Cookware for sending me the stick blender to review.
