Pamper Day for Two

Having kindly been asked if I'd like to review an Experience Day, as soon as I saw the Pamper Day for Two, I jumped at the chance.

The opportunity couldn't have come at a better time for us, after weeks of being busy with work and general day to day stuff, a Pamper Day sounded just perfect!

Our Day at Pamper Day for Two at Breadsall Priory near Derby

As you can see from the picture above this is one impressive 4* hotel. 13th-century history blended perfectly with modern facilities. With Two Golf Courses, a Spa and Leisure Club with restaurants and bars - Oh yes we want to live there!

Apparently, it's the oldest Marriott hotel in the world too and is full of character, lots of stained glass windows and interesting paintings throughout.

Once we arrived we were a little bit early for our pampering session, so we had a walk around the grounds.

This place is amazing, I could go on all day about it. Sadly I couldn't take any pictures of the actual spa area which is a shame because it was lovely, but knowing me I'd have dropped my camera in the jacuzzi or somewhere!

The hotel is surrounded by different gardens, all immaculately kept and there's even a nature garden and nature trail.

Anyway, we checked in for our Pamper Day and everything about it was really professional. We were made to feel very welcome and was shown around so that we didn't waste time later trying to find everything.

I had a lovely refreshing 30-minute facial massage and emerged half an hour later feeling brand new. Paul (the husband) had opted for a 30 minute full back, neck and shoulder massage and said it was brilliant.

Then we went to the leisure bar and had something to eat and drink, it was such a lovely hot day and nice glass of cold larger was perfect (in any case the girl that did my facial said my skin was dehydrated) so there you go, a lager or two, was definitely needed!

Then we went off to get changed and into the swimming pool and jacuzzi, we gave the sauna a miss since it was such a hot day. You don't have to have a coin to get a secure locker for your things, it's all done with a code of your choice that you select and remember.

No need to bring anything with you apart from your swimming stuff. Towels are provided free of charge and the showers are huge. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hairdryers, straighteners are all there for you to use.

All in all

We had the best day ever and would recommend Experience Days to anyone. Fantastic value for money too.

When we were there I asked how much my facial and Paul's massage would cost if it wasn't booked through Experience Days and they totalled £65 - now, our whole day included those two treatments and full access to the whole Spa and Leisure and Gym facilities for just £75.....a real billy bargain I think.
